they’re basically saying that because we’re queer we should embrace our lack of civil rights for their revolution and all that goes with it, like being unable to be with our partners in their last moment or living a significantly more expensive life or having to cart around a pile of documents to guard yourself against losing your child or being separated from your partner by shitting immigration laws or about oh, 1,000 other things. we should just drop all of that - actually, no, rather than choosing not to take part in that we should instead embrace that we actually have no choice but to be excluded - so that we can be warm bodies in an army fighting for impractical goals that won’t be achieved until generations of queer people have died without their partners next to them, after living a life that could very well have been much easier if they had those tax breaks and hadn’t had to spend so much money on legal fees trying to approximate the rights they were just too radical to deserve.
